Why facebook sux

Well facebook sux in many ways. I have been a member of facebook for about 2 years and in that time I have noticed there is allot of crap going on, not the users (real people) but all of the apps, games and groups of which about 80% are spam or some sort of malware, spyware, Trojan or virus. I personally do not play games, use any apps or join any groups just for that reason. BUT! allot of people on my Friends list do, and when they do they have to give permission to that program to access their friends list at which time in most cases the program starts spamming all their friends. I have had this happen allot and sometimes to the point that I have to (unfriend) some people. Facebook really needs to crack down on this crap! but they won't because it is money in their pockets but facebook needs to realize that this sort of thing will drive people away from facebook if it keeps going on. (it seems to be getting worse). Just recently my wife who is not the safest facebook user (although I try to tell her what to do and not to do on facebook) Joined a group about facebook charging users and we got a nasty virus in our computer called (Antivirus soft) and it was hell to get rid of. Then all she did was click the like button on a post from a friend which said I LOVE YOU and it started spamming her friend's walls with about 100 I LOVE YOU posts under her profile. I have seen quite a few people get this using different phrases (this is the newest one I have encountered) then there was the (koobface) virus that was spread through fake video links sent by a friend. and there are many more! People need to realize what these things do when they sign up for them. If you have any experiences or know of any spam, malware, spyware, trojans or viruses please share them with us. We will have to work together to protect each other from this crap (until facebook steps up and puts a stop to it) to make our facebook experience as enjoyable as possible.

Happy Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day all hope every one had a good time today grilling out and spending time with friends and family but we must all remember the true meaning of memorial day and be thankful for the ones that paid the ultimate price.
Well I noticed yesterday 5/30/10 that a couple people on face book had gotten their profiles hacked by that program that spams wall post with phrases like I LOVE SUMMER, I LOVE YOU, I'M AWESOME with hundreds of post.You can get it just by clicking the like button. As far as I can tell it comes from (www.biwiz.com) I think. If any body has any more information on this please post a comment to this post with the comment button below (I know it is a little hard to see) but after you click on it it will get larger. Thanks all by working together we can keep each other safe from all the bad things on facebook.

Good Luck Deleting your facebook account?

Here is a good question? What if you are finally sick and tired of all the crap on facebook and decide that you want out and want to delete your account? well good luck. Apparently it is very difficult to completely delete your facebook account. I believe facebook does this on purpose so they can retain your information to use for what ever they like or to keep their membership numbers pumped up ( facebook reports millions of users ) But how many of those supposed users are actually accounts that the users thought were deleted? That is my question? Apparently you do not have an immediate option of deleting your account you can only deactivate your account. Which means your account is not able to be viewed but all of your information,photos,wall postings,freinds or whatever else you may have had are still in facebook's system and can be found and used by facebook or anybody else that has the means for what ever they want. Especially if you signed up for any of their apps or play their games. If you want to delete your facebook account permanently you first have to delete all the apps and games that you have signed up for then follow the instructions given in the link I have provided on how to first deactivate your account (which is the only option facebook gives you) then you have to wait at least 14 days (I would say 21 days just to be safe) before you try to log in to your account to make sure it is gone. If you try before at least the 14 days your account will not be deleted. The link I have provided gives very detailed instructions on how to permanently and completely delete your account. I have to ask why do you think facebook makes it so hard to delete your account? and so easy to sign up? "hmm" Even if you are successful in permanently deleting your account is it really? if you played any of their 3rd. party games or used any of their 3rd. party apps those 3rd. parties have your information. Is that deleted also? probably not and how many of those 3rd. parties are really credible? facebook has been known to associate with some shady characters. Info on the facebook (like) button worm

I recently came across this very informative blog posting on the like button worm that is affecting so many unsuspecting facebook users. That quite a few people in my Friends list and my wife's have been bitten by. So if you have been bitten by it delete it from your wall and run a scan on your computer. If you havent then good for you just be careful when facebooking and only click on things you 100% trust. WTF!

I have been getting allot of Friend request from women I don't even know and have never known lately. They seem to be either prostitutes or some how affiliated with the adult industry. Their profile pics are always some what provocative and distasteful and they post comments on their walls about how hot and horny something makes them and how they have to either change or take off their panties WTF!? I have quite afew women in my Friends list that I actually know and they never make comments like that on their wall. Who in the hell would post comments like that on a public wall!? no one I know! That would be like standing in the middle of a busy mall and yelling at the top of your lungs that so and so made you so horny that you soiled your panties and had to remove them. WTF!? What I think this is, is a phishing scam where the scammers are sending out Friend request to males automatically or manually on facebook (although my wife and cat have also gotten them) in hopes of horny young men clicking on the Friend request to either scam their info or redirect them to an adult site maybe in hopes of gaining more traffic I don't know. What I want to know is how do they get your profile info when you have your privacy settings set to only friends? So much for facebooks privacy policy! I just wonder how many underage children are getting these kind of friend request? because you know as well as I do that you do not have to prove your age to have a facebook profile. You can put in any name and birthday that you want and get one. I have stated before that I have a love hate relationship with facebook but it is steadily moving towards the hate side.
